Are you utilizing the "Power of Pinterest" for your online business, your blog, or your website? If, the answer is, "no", I implore you to reconsider. Pinterest is more than just another social media site, where you pin recipes, baby shower ideas, or organizational tips. It is actually a powerful search engine, much like Google. Many of the users on Pinterest, are actively looking for a solution to a problem, a particular product to try or purchase, a particular course to take, or the right coach to hire.. When I first signed up, I must admit, I, too was looking for DIY ideas, but when I started my blog, and later, my online digital products business, I realized just how beneficial Pinterest is for business. So, I upgraded (at no cost) from my "regular-schmegular-degular" Pinterest account, to a business one. The business account comes with metrics, the option to promote your pins, and a Pinterest button for your website, so that you can share blog pins, with ease, straight from the blog post, itself. Next, I began cleaning up my boards. I began deleting old boards I was no longer interested in, or others, that I felt were too cluttered. I also deleted pins that didn't fit into the subject of the board it was pinned to, or that weren't getting much traction or repins. I, then, created new boards, to coincide with the niche of my business. I started following people in my niche, and accounts that I believe are in the category of my "ideal client." I also wanted to follow other business owners, who accounts and pins I could learn from. There are some awesome accounts and groups on Pinterest, that are well organized, and post lots of great content. It's just like other social media, where you have to seek out your "tribe." In 9 short days my monthly view count, went from 4.5k to 10k, and it continues to grow. This means more engagement, which translates into more blog views, more website clicks, more eyes on your products, and store, which of course, will eventually lead to more sales. Not to mention, the personal gratification, you get from "pinning!" I. LOVE. PINNING! I always tell myself, "I'm just going to go on there, for about 15 or 20 minutes, and pin to my boards, because I want to keep them updated.. and maybe.... create 1 or 2 more..." Then... fast forward 2 hours later....and I'm still pinning and... grinning. I don't know why I keep trying to fool, myself! It really is addictive! Those that know...know! Did you know that business owners who use Pinterest increase their brand's awareness and sales exponentially? Visitors to your site from Pinterest, are more likely to convert into leads and sales, faster than other, social media platform. Instagram, is also, a great platform, for social media marketing, but an average Instagram post only has a "life span" of about 2-3 days, a week, if you're lucky. However, a "pin" on Pinterest can "live on" for months, sometimes, even years. The longer your pins are being viewed, clicked, read, and repinned, the greater the chances, are for them to become "conversions." They have the potential to become subscribers of your email list, a consumer of your products, a client of your coaching service, or a student of your online course. The takeaway here, friends, is, if you do any type of business online (or-offline) you should really be utilizing the Power of Pinterest. Happy Pinning!
