Last night's Season 5 Finale, of the Walking Dead, "Conquer", had me sitting straight up in my bed, screaming and yelling at the TV screen, whilst simultaneously, covering me eyes, with my hands. I was so frazzled, at the near deaths, of Glen, Daryl, Aaron, and Rick. I was saying "LAWD NO, DON'T LET THEM KILL OFF these beloved, post apocalyptic warriors. They've come too far, for you to leave em now, Fartha'!" Why'd they do that to me? Why'd they do that to us? Well, someone must've heard my cry, and pitied every groan, because all four of them will live to fight and struggle another season. Honestly, I don't know how they're still forging on. Because personally, I would've given up the ghost a long time ago!
I have said numerous times, I know I'm not fit for the fight, when it comes down to the Zombie Apocalypse. I'd rather go on to be with Jesus. I love creature comforts, way too much. I can't handle being:
So, I guess that pretty much excludes my chances for survival, and anybody allowing me to be a part of their ZA team. Oooh well! But Rick, Michonne, and the rest of the crew. THEY are some WARRIORS, and I love them for it! They have survived Woodbury and The Governor, Gareth and the cannibals of Terminus, not to mention losing just about everyone they love. They've had some dark days, and some hills to climb! Now they're here in Alexandria, Virginia's SAFE ZONE, under former Congresswoman Deanna Moore's, leadership. The night's episode focuses on whether or not, to oust Rick from the group. Everyone is huddled around, defending and making a case for their leader's character and ability, while he is fighting for his life, with the un-dead walker, who someone has let into the camp, by leaving the gate unlocked. Go figure. He's fighting for his life. Glenn is fighting for his life. And Sasha, is on the verge of taking Father Gabriel's life. And when Rick finally emerges, from the fight, after taking the zombie's head off with his bare hands, one of the first things he says is, "You know, I was thinking, ‘How many of you do I have to kill to save your lives? You're GONNA CHANGE!" Wooo, Sir! And, I know he means what he says, and they better listen to him. They're going to have to change, because I have a feeling that things are going to get far worse for them, before they get any better. The Wolf Gang is out there, setting canned good- 18 wheeler traps, and ambushing people in the woods. By people, I mean, Morgan, I guess he thought Morgan, wasn't going to take him to school, with that over-sized broomstick, huh? He was wrong! Morgan tried to hold his peace and not let the devil ride, but sometimes you've just gotta give people what they came for! I've been anticipating Morgan's re-emergence, since the previous episode, when the cameras panned to the street sign, that read "Morgan St." I don't know if anyone noticed that prelude or not, but I knew it wouldn't be long before he'd get some real camera time, and now HE'S BYKE! And it seems as though, he's had a real change of heart or mind. Whichever. Because, the last time we saw him, he was delusional. Y'all remember? He was held up in a house, talking to himself, and writing all over the walls. Poor thing. I don't know what happened to jolt him back into reality, but he seems to have emerged better than ever. It only seems fitting for him to be back with the clan. This all started with him and Rick. Rick is really the only person, left in the world, that he has any real connection to. It'll be interesting to see what the dynamic will be like, between them, in season 6. And those new ninja-like fighting techniques, he's picked up, are going to be most valuable against the "W" clan. Poor Sasha and Father Gabriel, need to be added to prayer list, people. Anytime you lay down in a hole filled with zombies, and look like you're AT PEACE WITH IT, lets me know, that you are near the breaking point, in life. My heart bled for poor Sasha. She's lost everyone, and now seems to be suffering from PTSD. Father Gabriel is right there in the boat with her. Although, I'm not as sympathetic toward him, as I should be. He honestly, just seems to be more trouble than he's worth. They should've wrote him off, when they wrote off #EverybodyHatesChris. They added the same amount of value to the storyline, which in my opinion, is NONE. I'm sorry folks, but it was just hard for me to view Tyler James Williams, as anybody other than Rochelle and Julius' son. And I know I'm not the only one. All in all, it was a great season ending Finale, and everyone lives to fight another day! But, what will we do with our Sunday nights now?
